GSF attorneys have recently been recognized in Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Texas Monthly, and D Magazine for their professional accomplishments.

Best Lawyers in America
John Slavich, Carrick Brooke-Davidson, Paul Seals and Greg Rogers were recognized in the 2008 edition of Best Lawyers in America for the specialty area of environmental law.  Selection to Best Lawyers is based on a rigorous peer-review survey with confidential evaluations by the top attorneys in the country.

Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business
The 2008 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business includes the firm and four GSF attorneys: Joe Guida, John Slavich, Jean Flores and Paul Seals. The London-based Chambers is viewed as providing independent and objective evaluation of lawyers and practices, with inclusion in the publication determined through a rigorous vetting process . The publication’s selection process is based on interviews with in-house law departments and with other attorneys around the country. The rankings are based on qualities that Chambers believes are most valued by clients, including technical legal ability, professional conduct, commitment, client service, and commercial awareness.

Texas Super Lawyers
Four GSF attorneys, John Slavich, Jean Flores, Kirk Willis and Paul Seals were named as Texas Super Lawyers in the October 2008 issue of Texas Monthly magazine.  The Texas Super Lawyers list recognizes Texas attorneys for outstanding performance and professional accomplishment.  The editorial staff of the magazine solicits nominations from members of the State Bar of Texas.  A Blue-Ribbon Panel in each practice area is included in the selection process.  Only five percent of licensed attorneys in Texas made the list.  All three are making repeat appearances on the 2008 listing after having been named as Texas Super Lawyers in previous years.

D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers in Dallas” for 2008
Joe Guida and John Slavich were named by D Magazine on its list of the Best Lawyers in Dallas for 2008.  The magazine used a peer nomination process, where Dallas attorneys were asked to name which Dallas lawyers in their area of practice, whose work they have witnessed firsthand, would rank among the current best in the city.  Prominent local attorneys were called in after the votes were counted to evaluate the list of nominees with D Magazine editors.  Messrs. Guida and Slavich were two of only five Dallas attorneys to receive Best Lawyer in Dallas recognition in the area of environmental law.
